Welcome to our life! We thought it was ordinary...more or less...but chaos has a way of catching up. Now we're trying to plan our wedding, fix up our new house and try to figure out our lives together.

Comments

By the way...people can put comments up here. We had trouble at first, but it's fixed now. So far we have recieved one whole comment (thanks Sean!!), but please feel free to put more up so we know people are actually reading this!

My New-found Creativity

So I have recently turned into someone creative. It's hard for me to believe this, but it's true. I'm not great at it yet, but I'm apparently interested in trying. I've gone jewelry-making 3 times and made some nice necklaces. I've also started scrapbooking. It's completely insane. Anyway, I recently went to paint pottery with a few of my friends. We had a great time chatting and stuff, but the pottery painting part was really hard! The best thing we had going for us was that our pottery looked a LOT nicer than that of the children at a birthday party when we were there. I think they looked around 6 or 7, so our accomplishment isn't exactly something to brag about. Anyway, with strict instructions from Pete to "paint rice bowls to go with our sushi dishes" and armed with stencils from the pottery place I managed to paint something that actually looks nice! I'm quite proud of myself so I'm actually willing to put up a picture to show it off! I painted 2 bowls, so imagine 2 of these. There are 4 different characters around the edge of the bowl. I traced the stencil, but hopefully they say what it said and not something inappropriate or anything. :)

Reception Hall Blues

Ok, so the ongoing attempt to find a location for our wedding isn't going as smoothly as we thought it would a few weeks ago. After confirming our date (July 14, 2007 - evening) we called up the chosen hall and had it put on hold. They mailed us the contract and we were excited, until we noticed the "minimum number of guests" we hadn't previously been made aware of. Since this minimum number is far greater than the number of people we're inviting and we don't feel like paying for people who aren't there, our favorite hall suddenly fell off the list of possibilities. We then looked around a lot more and found a new favorite place. Turns out they're already booked for our date, so it's now back to the drawing board. On a more positive note, we found some teapots to start off our centerpiece theme, so let me know what you think of them.
