TUCKER!!

So Pete got me the best birthday present ever - a puppy! We looked online for rescue dogs and found Tucker. He's a 1-year-old black lab mix and he's adorable! (Kerry gets credit for his fabulous name). We just picked him up yesterday and he's already getting used to his new house. He's a very good boy and we're very happy to have him!! Check out how cute he is!!!

It's About Time!

Well, I know it's been a tremendously long time since our last post, and for that I apologize. It's going to take a few posts to get all caught up in what's been going on, but I'll get started. First off, we signed up a photographer for our wedding! He's fabulous - great pictures, great personality. We're really looking forward to working with him. Next, we hosted our first big family function with a Memorial Day barbeque. Pete made some seriously fabulous food and both families seemed to have a great time. I'll put up some pictures when I get them. Yesterday we spent the morning trimming the giant trees that are intent on taking over our property. We both got up on the roof - Pete to reach more branches and me just to prove that I could do it! It took two trips to the dump with the pickup completely full just to clear out what we did so far. I figure in another couple years we'll have a yard we're not embarassed of! We also cleaned up the front of the house. Mom and Kerry helped us dig up the old ugly plants that were there and then Mom came back a few weekends later to help plant new flowers. It looks MUCH better now. We also painted the living room and upstairs hallway - I'm definitely putting up pictures of that once I get some good ones. It looks fabulous now! Way better than the magenta that it was before. I also have started work on my first scrapbook. So far I've only finished one page, but I think it came out looking pretty good. We've been trying to bike and hike more, and we finally got my mountain bike from my parents' beach house, so we're all ready to go. Finally, I've been harassing Pete to get a dog. I have very mixed feelings about it - I really want one, but I know it's tough with us both working all day, and having never had one I worry that I don't really know what I'm getting in to, so I'm trying to wait a bit longer until it makes more sense (but waiting is hard!). I know I say this every post, but I really am going to try to write more often, and I'll follow up with those pictures soon!
